| There was a changing of the flag ceremony as
part of MSC Fantasia's (pronounced Fanta-SEE-a) delivery today at the
STX Europe yard in St. Nazaire (France). Four-year-old Asia Aponte
(granddaughter of MSC owner Gianluigi Aponte) was the godmother of the
flag ceremony and gave the signal for the bottle of champagne to be
released against the bow.
At 133,500-tons, MSC Fantasia is the largest cruise ship operated by a European owner. The ship is shown below in the new MSC livery and logo. |
